Meet the teamVividbastro started in 2017 as a practical answer to a problem the founding family kept encountering: Nairobi had no shortage of service providers, but finding one that was reliable, honest about pricing, and consistent across multiple visits felt like luck rather than expectation. The founders — two siblings and a cousin, all Nairobi-born — pooled savings, registered the business, and set up a small base on Ngong Road. The first year was mostly word-of-mouth from neighbours in Kilimani and Lang'ata. By 2019, the client list had grown to include SMEs in Westlands and homeowners across Karen. The team expanded carefully: no hire was made just to fill a slot. Every person added to Vividbastro went through a probation period working directly alongside the founders so that the standards the family had set — punctuality, transparency, follow-through — became the new person's standards too. That process hasn't changed. In 2024, the team sits at seven people, each of whom the founding family knows personally and trusts professionally. There is no layer of management between the client and the decision-makers. When something goes wrong — and occasionally it does — the founders handle it directly, not through a complaint system. That's the structure, and we're not planning to change it.
Vividbastro does three things consistently well: keeping appointments, supplying quality products at honest prices, and maintaining long-term relationships with clients who value stability over novelty. We serve households and small businesses primarily within Nairobi's urban core — Westlands, Kilimani, Kasarani, Karen, Lang'ata, and the CBD corridor. If you want a service provider who knows the city, speaks the same practical language as your accounts department, and won't disappear after the first job, we're a reasonable match. Where we're not the right fit: we don't handle large-scale construction or high-volume industrial contracts. We're not set up for same-day product delivery across multiple counties simultaneously. And we won't quote for jobs we know we can't execute well — it's not worth your money or our reputation. Our size is a deliberate choice. A seven-person team means every client gets actual attention. It also means we're selective about what we take on. If a job falls outside our current capacity, we'll tell you so at the enquiry stage and, where we can, point you toward someone who can help. We'd rather lose a job than do it badly.
Since 2017, Vividbastro has completed over 1,400 service visits and product orders across Nairobi. That track record means we've encountered most scenarios and know how to handle them — including the unpredictable ones.
No ticketing systems, no automated response queues. When you contact us, you reach someone who knows your account, remembers your last visit, and has the authority to make a decision on the spot.
We'd rather spend ten minutes on the phone understanding what you actually need than quote too broadly and pad the bill later. Our estimates are itemised and explained — ask us anything about any line.
